Capabilities
A transaction, the capital behind it, or an investment alongside you. Each is a distinct mandate, and each is held to one standard of judgement.
We act for founders, shareholders, boards, and corporate clients across the full range of transaction situations - business sales and founder exits, strategic acquisitions, management buyouts, cross-border combinations, and corporate carve-outs. Senior partners lead every process personally: designing the strategy, managing counterparties, and applying the judgement that marks the difference between a good outcome and the right one.
Examples
We do not manage volume. We manage your transaction.
Every transaction has a financing dimension. Whether structuring capital for an acquisition, raising growth equity at an inflection point, or refinancing ahead of a sale, we advise shareholders, boards, and management teams on how to structure, raise, and optimise capital across the full transaction lifecycle - independently of any lender relationship or balance sheet interest. Capital advisory and transaction strategy are always designed together, never as separate workstreams.
Examples
Access to capital is rarely the constraint. The quality of advice on how to structure it is.
We invest our own capital selectively, by two routes. Where we have advised on a business and share the long-term view of it, we invest alongside our client, as partners in the outcome rather than the process. Where we see an opportunity outside our advisory mandates, we introduce it to financial sponsors and invest on the same terms as they do. One test governs both: the business, the terms, and the management team must give us the conviction we ask our clients to have.
Examples
We recommend nothing we would not fund ourselves.
Coverage
Successful transactions are decided by preparation, positioning, the choice of counterparties, and the handling of a process under pressure. Our judgement on these comes from three decades of transactions across more than 40 countries. It transfers to any business, and the sectors below are where we have applied it most.
